There was disappointment in Germany today as American hopes of lifting the World Cup were ended.  Darin Young and Larry Butler struggled to find the doubles, and slumped to a 5-3 defeat against the Philippines.

Gilbert Ulang and Alex Tagarao now await the winners of the Netherlands/Russia match.
