2018 Lakeside World Championship – Day Three Results

Updated: January 9, 2018

North American hopes of another Lakeside World Champion disappeared as David Cameron was edged out in a five-set thriller by Germany’s Michael Unterbuchner.  After losing the first set in five, the Canadian bounced back to take a 2-1, dropping only one more leg in the process.  A disappointing fourth set from Cameron allowed the German to tie the match, and then grab the W by a score of 5-3 in the decider.

Andy Baetens and Darryl Fitton also won five setters, while Dutchman Danny Noppert grabbed his second straight set victory.  In the only women’s match of the day, Trina Gulliver MBE sneaked past Sweden’s Vicky Pruim.
