ADO OFFERS
BENEFITS TO ALL MEMBERS

So you never hit a 180, last year you had two ADO points and you rely
only on Bulls Eye News for dart information? Even if that's the case,
being a member of the ADO will still bring you benefits! Those who
think the ADO is only for pro players are sadly missing the mark, and
everyone should know it! Among current benefits offered are the
following:
- Availability of bulk discount price on ADO merchandise
- Discounts on Double Eagles ads, Alamo car rentals
- Quarterly Double Eagle newsletter for your membership
- Service directory advertising in the Double Eagle at
prices designed for individual advertisers as opposed to companies (a
great way to buy or sell collectibles!)
- Standardized rules of play for tournament and a
standardized shooting line
- A package of safety-related data compiled by the ADO
and provided to member to assist pubs and sponsors when negotiating
insurance rates
- Playoff programs enabling players to represent the
U.S. at the national and international levels and an expanded youth
program that began in 1999 enables more kids to earn scholarship fund
and win trips for darts.
- An ADO Youth Manual containing organizational and
instructional aids for setting up and administering a Youth Program. An
ADO media kit to help you get media attention in your area, or let
mdeia in other areas know about outstanding performances by top players.
- The ADO Book of Darts - published by Lyons &
Burford and with a foreword by Tom Fleetwood, past General Secretary
and Executive Director of the ADO; Fun*Dart*Men*Tals by Frank Pratt
& F.M. Harris. These books, endorsed by the ADO, are available
in some bookstores or from the publishers and are a great way to
introduce people to the sport. The ADO board periodically send copies
to sports writers in areas with upcoming sanctioned tournament to help
you promote your sanctioned events.
All of this is available to EACH MEMBER for a nominal yearly fee!*
* For club 51-400, the cost is about $1.25 per member per year; for
clubs of 400 or more, the cost in LESS than $1 per member per year.
That's less than the cost o one drink at your favorite pub! Isn't it
worth the price of ONE drink to keep a national organization working
for you?
