Willard Bruguier continued his brilliant form from Tuesday’s qualifier to emerge as the 2017 partypoker North American Champion!  The 35-year-old police officer from Wagner, SD, clinched the title from Canada’s Dave Richardson with a superb 12-dart deciding leg (140, 40, 123, 98).   This came after bouncing back from 3-1 and 4-2 down.

Bruguier had previously beaten Ohio’s D.J. Sayre and Canada’s Dawson Murschell, white Richardson had looked clinical on his way to the final with a brace of 6-1 victories over Shawn Brenneman and Chris White.

This also clinches a place for Bruguier – who competed in the 2016 Winmau World Masters – at the 2018 PDC William Hill World Championship over the New Year.
