The Australian pairing of Simon Whitlock and Damon Heta produced a series of incredible displays to capture the 2022 Cazoo World Cup of Darts. Having beaten Belgium and England earlier on Sunday, the Aussies took down the highly-fancied Welsh pairing of Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton in a high quality final.

Against Belgium, the match went to the deciding doubles, which Whitlock and Heta won 4-0 with a fabulous average of over 109. Against England, Heta bounced back from 3-1 down against Michael Smith to win 4-3, and that was followed by a 4-0 triumph by Whitlock against James Wade – with a 103 average.

In the final, Heta beat Price 4-0, and Whitlock edged out Clayton 4-2. In the doubles, Wales produced legs of 15, 14, 13, and 18 darts to make it 2-1, but Heta beat Clayton 4-2 to seal the win.
