Leonard Gates went into last night’s final group match with a chance of qualifying for the knockout stage. It wasn’t to be, as he slipped to defeat against Jermaine Wattimena, who advanced alongside group winner Jonny Clayton.

Elsewhere, Peter Wright exited the tournament at the hands of Nathan Aspinall, while Ross Smith produce an incredible display against the already-qualified Michael van Gerwen to join him in the knockout. Smith hit a maximum 180 in every single leg, and finished the match with a 108 average.

The event continues tonight with the first four matches in the Top 16.
