8.06 (EST)
Apologies for the delay, but with only a couple of matches left, there wasn’t a huge amount to be said. So, Fallon Sherrock completed a brilliant hat-trick of wins in the women’s events. We got down to a final between Jeff Smith and Robbie Phillips, and unlike yesterday, Jeff kicked it up a notch in the final. He emerged as a 5-0 winner, with a creditable average of 97.6.

As they say on TV, “That’s all, folks!”

6.20 (EST)
The men’s semis will be Robbie Phillips against Elliot Milk, and Jeff Smith against Jason Brandon.

5.59 (EST)
Deta won 4-0 to set up an all-England final.

5.48 (EST)
Robbie Phillips beats the top-seeded Gates 4 straight… Deta takes the first leg, despite a maximum from Shea. Okay, make that 2-0 to the 64-year-old from Essex.

5.41 (EST)
Fallon Sherrock MBE ends Lisa Yee’s event in five legs, but we’ll have a bit of a wait as the other semi between Deta Hedman and Shea Cole has only just started.

5.38 (EST)
Open and women’s doubles are both well underway…

5.24 (EST)
Jim Widmayer (5) departs, thanks to Elliot Milk, but Joe Chaney (9) survives a tie-breaker against Jimmie Jones. Third seed John Scott ends the hopes of Canadian Cory Tkach, while the latter’s compatriot, Ross Snook, loses to another from north-of-the border, Al Traub. The first time that either Cory or Al have received a mention here, I believe!

Into the Top 16, Chaney loses to his World Cup doubles partner, Robbie Phillips, and Lim licks Luke 4-0. Robbie Mills is felled by ‘Soulger’, and Traub is sent packing by Jason Brandon. Two Canadians to win, though are Jeff Smith (over Gino Florian), and Jake McMillan (against #3 John Scott).

4.55 (EST)
Leonard ‘Soulger’ Gates (1), Kevin Luke (4), and Jason Brandon (6) all move on, but the big news is that yesterday’s Champ, Canadian Jacob Taylor, is out! Beaten 4-1 by Friday night’s cricket winner, Robbie Mills. From Canada. Canada must be empty this weekend, as everyone is down in Vegas…

4.51 (EST)
Shea Cole completes the quarter-final line-up with her defeat of Laine Lyzak. Meanwhile, Sherrock beats Zijlstra, Hedman beats Edgett, and unseeded Yee gets the better of #6 Weger.

Men’s #7 Dustin Holt is squeezed out by Boston’s Tom Curtin at Top 64, while Surrey’s Aaron Turner couldn’t make the most of his #2 placing, and goes down to Arizona’s David Fatum. In the Top 32, we’ve already lost Jay Waugh (14) and Matt Arpin (15); Canadians (go figure) are the two to advance, in the shape of Jake McMillan and “The Silencer’, Jeff Smith. No such worries for Chris Lim (13), who crushes Scott Wells – a Canadian that hasn’t been mentioned yet this weekend…

4.25 (EST)
Tom Sawyer (12) is beaten by yet another Canadian, Justin Fawcett. So far, he’s the only seed to leave us during the Top 64. Hold that thought… #11 Larry Butler is out. Beaten by a Canadian. Ross Snook.

4.03 (EST)
Fifth and sixth seeds, Maria Carli and Julie Weger, are in the quarters also. Men’s #10, Bruce Robbins, has been put out by Tokuyo Takayama (Japan).

3.46 (EST)
Top seed Deta Hedman marches into the quarter-finals – and still hasn’t dropped a leg. Others reaching the Top 8 are #2 Anca Zijlstra, and Fallon Sherrock MBE (10). Non-seeds to reach this stage include Brittany Edgett and Lisa Yee.

Missouri’s Eric Gregory (16) is the latest men’s seed to fall, to Maine’s Aaron Jalbert.

3.14 (EST)
Men’s seeds Aaron Turner (2), Jim Widmayer (5), Dustin Holt (7), Tom Sawyer (12), Chris Lim (13), Matt Arpin (15), and Eric Gregory (16) have all safely reached the Top 128. Sacramento’s Corrine Davis has knocked out Oklahoma’s #12, Andrea Taylor.

3.09 (EST)
Gary Mawson (8) slips to defeat against Canadian Brandon Goddard after a tense five-legger. Missing nine darts from 80 in the third leg hurt Mawson.

Trish Grzesik (11) is edged out by compatriot Lisa Stanton, and Wendy Reinstadtler is not going to repeat yesterday’s run to the final. Second seed Anca Zijlstra saw to that. There were defeats in the Top 32 for Cali West (4) and Carolyn Mars (9). Laine Lyzak and Cassy Scantlen were the respective victors.

3.00 (EST)
So, the Las Vegas Classic girls’ Champion is, in fact, Katie Gallant, who got revenge for yesterday’s final loss to Ankheluun Munkhbayasgalan after a seventh-leg decider!

2.56 (EST)
Leonard Gates (1) and Joe Chaney (9) were both untroubled first time out, while Matt Thompson inflicted a 3-1 defeat on David Cameron. Kevin Luke (4) beat Canadian Scott Lee 3-0, while it appears that Dave Ladley forfeited against Kevin Yasenchak.

2.47 (EST)
I’m not sure, but it looks like there may have been a mistake with the WDF girls’ singles. A 4-2 win for Ankheluun Munkhbayasgalan was posted earlier, but that appears to have been corrected, and the final is being played at the moment. Apologies, but I was just going by what was posted. I’ll get back to you on that…

2.42 (EST)
#5 Maria Carli is the first to reach the Top 16, and she has yet to drop a leg. In his bid to complete a spectacular double, Jacob Taylor wins his opener 3-0, and now takes on Denver’s Morgan Dotson. Highlights of the Top 256 round look to be Matt Thompson/David Cameron, Kevin Yasenchak/Dave Ladley, D.J. Sayre/Michael Nguyen, and Jay Waugh/Mike Neubert.

2.23 (EST)
Benjamin Goddard wins the Las Vegas Classic boys’ singles 4-0.

2.21 (EST)
And the men are underway…

2.09 (EST)
Eighth seed Marlise Kiel is out of the singles, going down to Brittany Edgett 3-0. Tracy Feiertag (7) also goes out withing winning a leg, to Jessica Melton. Paula Murphy at least won two legs, but with Arizona’s Lisa Yee capturing three, the third seed joins Kiel and Feiertag on the sidelines. As does Liz Tynan (14), beaten by Canada’s Sora Takahashi.

1.39 (EST)
The girls’ Las Vegas Classic WDF Singles final will be fought out by Katie Gallant and Colorado’s Ankheluun Munkhbayasgalan – just as it was 24 hours ago!

1.37 (EST)
That number of Canadian winners has already risen to seven…

1.35 (EST)
Sixteen Canadians have already departed first time out, but there are five who have reached the second round – so far…

1.32 (EST)
Robin Curry (15) is the first seed to drop, going down to Florida’s Ashley Richey in four legs.

1.18 (EST)
The draw has been made, and players are on the boards. Standout matches in the first round of the women’s appear to be the Andrea Taylor/Tanja Bencic and Dani Warmack/Tiffany Kemp clashes.

Back to the youth, and Canadas Katie Gallant has already reached her second final of the weekend, after a straight-legs defeat of compatriot Hailey Mills. The boys’ event has been completely dominated by the Canadians, with no American reaching the semis. The final will be between Conor Harkness and Benjamin Goddard.

e12.48 (EST)
Good Morning, people! The Las Vegas Classic Senior Singles events will be starting soon, commencing with the women at 10.00am local time (fifteen minutes from now). At the moment, the boys and girls are engaged in their own battles for WDF points in their respective singles events. We will be publishing those results shortly.

Again, live updates will be posted during all singles events, but you can watch a live stream from the featured board via USA Darts, and live scoring is available from DartConnect
