2025/26 PDC Paddy Power World Championship – Preview
With the WDF Lakeside World Championship barely a couple of days old, we are ready for the PDC’s World Championship to take center stage!
Now firmly established at the famed Alexandra Palace in North London, this year’s tournament breaks new ground. Not only will the event feature 128 players for the first time, the Champion will walk away with £1 million (approximately $1,330,000)!
While most of the attention will be focused on the battle for World #1 between the two Lukes (Littler and Humphries) and the appearance of 3-time Women’s World Champion, Beau Greaves, American interest will revolve around the quartet of ADO players in attendance. These are Leonard Gates, Alex Spellman, Stowe Buntz, and Adam Sevada. The last time an American reached the semi-finals here was back in 1994, when Steve Brown finished 3rd, so we are certainly due for another stunning performance.
The action commences tomorrow (Thursday), but we have to wait until Saturday for the first American to take the stage. The draw and playing schedule (all times are local) for our players is:
Saturday, December 13 (Session starts 7.00pm)
Alex Spellman v Gabriel Clemens (GER)
Sunday, December 14 (Session starts 7.00pm)
Stowe Buntz v James Hurrell (ENG)
Wednesday, December 17 (Session starts 7.00pm)
Adam Sevada v Matt Campbell (CAN)
Friday, December 19 (Session starts 12.30pm)
Leonard Gates v Mickey Mansell (NIR)
Live scoring and updates can be found on the PDC website
