Tomorrow (Thursday) sees the start of one of the highlights of the PDC calendar, the BetVictor World Cup of Darts. Once again, the tournament will be held at the Frankfurt Eisssporthalle in Germany.

This year’s event will feature pairs from 40 (yes, FORTY!) different nations, including the US team of Danny Lauby and Jules van Dongen. The top four teams (based on rankings) are England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland, and these are seeded into the second round. The remaining 36 teams compete in twelve round-robin groups, with only the group winners advancing to join the seeds.

On paper, Danny and Jules look to have a decent draw in Group I, facing teams from Hong Kong and Bahrain. They take on Hong Kong sixth match tomorrow night, with the session starting at 7pm local (1pm Eastern). Depending on the result, they will play again on Friday afternoon or evening.

The English duo of Luke Humphries and Luke Littler are odds-on favorites to lift the title.

Updates will be posted here, but you can follow the action on the PDC website here
